Take a break from this unseasonably hot weather and relax in The Miller’s cool, air-conditioned theatre as you enjoy a night of top-drawer impro*.

Dylan Emery has been performing and directing improvised theatre and comedy for more than 15 years. He is co-founder of Olivier Award-winning West End, Edinburgh Festival and Radio 4 Impro Hit, Showstopper, Ken Campbell-inspired hard-bardics masterclass, the School of Night and Grand Theft ImproHe has played the National Theatre, The Royal Court and Shakespeare’s Globe.

Nell Mooney studied improv with the Upright Citizens Brigade in the US and has worked in London with the likes of Showstopper, The Free Association and Monkey Toast. Her screen credits include Hyde Park on Hudson, Enchanted and Law & Order.

Katy Schutte – one of The Maydays from 2004-2022, half of sci-fi improv duo Project2. Performs with Yes Queens, Track 96 and Hell Yeah! among others. She was an artist in residence for The Arctic Circle Project in 2022. A Funny Women finalist and winner of the Brighton Festival Fringe Best Comedy Show award, she wrote the shows, Schutte the Unromantic and Let’s Summon Demons. She is a contributing writer for Cards Against Humanity and actor/writer on web series Sideliners. Katy also stars in BAFTA winning online educational series History Bombs. She’s performed and taught improvisation in twenty-something countries across five continents and wrote  The Improviser’s Way: A Longform Workbook.

Phil Whelans – writer and performer of his own Radio 4 sitcom, My First Planet, founder member of Pros from Dover – with whom he did two series of Radio 4’s The Infinite Monkey Cage. Phil has worked with everyone from Joan Rivers to Basil Brush, Al Gore to Brian Conley, Robin Williams to Giles Brandreth.  Phil has been in It’s Kevin, Brasseye, Preston Front and a number of unsuccessful radio and TV impro pilots. He has improvised all over the world, is founder member of Spontaneous Combustion and Grand Theft Impro, has been in Showstopper: the Improvised Musical, Hamlet Improvised and Criminal, is a Monkey Toast player and has also performed at Shakespeare’s Globe.

Patrick Stockbridge is a massively in-demand MD, composer, performer and improvising musician. He has worked at the Union Theatre, the King’s Head, the New Diorama, Tristan Bates Theatre, London Theatre Workshop, Greenwich and Leicester Square Theatres. He’s just finished a run as Assistant MD on the Blood Brothers UK Tour. In November 2014 he composed a short opera, performed at the Elgar Room at the Royal Albert Hall, commissioned ,to commemorate the centenary of World War One and and wrote new music for children’s show Hurry Up Father Christmas, produced by the Oxford Playhouse.
